Our adventure continues in Africa! We visited Etosha National Park in Namibia, Africa. Etosha means “Great White Place” because the park is centered around a salt pan. It’s dry during the winter months, May – October, so wildlife is drawn to more than 40 watering holes. Which makes it easier to observe animals in their habitats. Here are videos of an elephant https://youtu.be/BvVasBIUia4 and a mama rhino and her baby https://youtu.be/TUQ3HNxcXZg.
While we enjoy the wildlife and their babies in Africa, the little ones enjoy their kindergarten class at the Świetlica Dębniki Community Center. They had a special birthday celebration! The class enjoyed eating cake and celebrating their little friend! So cute!
Fall has arrived at the community center! In art class this week, they explored different techniques. Fall has been painted, and the results are amazing. There’s always something going on at the community center. They are open seven days a week and offer a place to learn Polish, art/craft classes, mother groups, teen activities, and daycare for the youngest members.
The work of KDU has been noticed in Kraków, and everyone wants to help. Daily donations continue to be delivered from the “angels” of the Polish community in the Dębniki district. There are warm clothes and shoes, career clothes for Ukrainian women, backpacks for children, hygiene products, toys…you name it, and they bring it! It’s a community effort to assist the Ukrainians that have been displaced.
Thank you for helping us make a difference in so many lives. Together we are helping Ukrainian families feel important! Your donations to Ukrainian Relief Initiative have made the community center possible. Please consider another donation to help us sustain the community center’s services to Ukrainian families. URI volunteers pay their own way to Poland…their flights, hotels, and food. 100% of your donations go directly to help our new Ukrainian friends. URI + KDU: “1 + 1 = 1,000”
“Relieve the crisis. Thoughtfully. With Discipline and heart. Now.”
I have no words to thank you but to tell you that I’m deeply touched by your love and compassion for all humanity. My heart is full that you are part of my circle of love. Be positive and stay safe. Hope for peace!
Freedom is possible!
Much love,
Cindy and Dana
