What a cold winter! Brr!!! Dana and I flew from balmy Costa Rica to North Carolina two weeks ago. And it snowed the next day! We stayed a few days at my sister Deb’s house and got Athena ready to head south…following the path of the birds…we love birding! We went to a state park outside of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. And we found that it’s cold there too. We visited a friend in Charleston…still cold. So, we are moving south along the coast, searching for birds and warmer weather.

I’ve really missed camping in Athena. I love going wherever we want and finding adventures along the way. This retirement thing is really agreeing with me. I love the freedom of choosing where to go, sleeping and waking whenever we want, visiting friends, birding, and finding new adventures.

“Vacations mean a change of pace, a gentleness with ourselves, a time of rest and renewal, and a time to stretch ourselves and encounter new people, new lands, new ways, and new options.” – Anne Wilson Schaef

When I consulted with my clients and taught Passion and Purpose workshops, I encouraged them to take vacations. Vacation time is a benefit given by their employer…use it, my friends. We all need time set aside to get away and have fun. Before returning to work, plan another vacation. The logic is if another trip isn’t on the schedule, more than likely, it never will be. So, have you planned your next vacation? Time’s wasting; get it on the calendar. You’ll be so happy you did…trust me! Be positive and stay safe.

Freedom is possible!

Much love,
Cindy
